From my experience working for several companies, having the entire package can be a lifesaver. If you are going to spend $300 on each program, it can be crazy expensive. But if you buy the packages you can save a lot. There are also some good student discounts out there and even business discounts. You have to search online for the best deal. Sometimes going to the main website will not always get you the best price. I have several places I go to to find different things more affordable.

The ink for my printer for example is almost three times the cost if I go to Epson directly for it. However, there are sacrifices you end up making too. Hope that I am not too off topic

Well generally you start with a theme in mind. From that you establish what kind of color scheme you want and work on the layout. You want the colors to be complementary and not too contrasting because you want the flow of the page to be easy to follow. If it is too chaotic, it will just confuse the viewer or frustrate them.

re: lost copyright. It would be nice if there were some real guideline... as it is, the only hope is generally to research so well that you feel you can rule out anyone coming around and claiming infringement later. Many companies won't make that gamble.

re: the poem. Another analogy would be distributing the poem in class... but even that is illegal unless I choose to do spontaneously and then destroy the copies afterward. Seems strange to me.

I enjoy visiting www.howstuffworks.com on occasion. It puts out, on occasion, good explanatory articles on various topics pertaining to electronics, computer technology, and networking. Usually the articles are easy to understand and include quality illustrations that make it easier to understand important concepts.
